I think I forgot to mention...

Recently I received an inquiry about my methodology and what I recommend on the website and book. Her point was that she has heard and read a lot of things over the years and when she explored them they weren’t what they appeared to be. She found my website encouraging, and understands that eating healthier, practicing mindfulness and exercise can improve overall health, However, to say that it cured MS, she found “interesting.” I appreciate this so much. She’s right. If it were that simple, then why isn’t it happening more around us?

My response to her questions were frank and from my experience. Here it is. It’s not just the eating healthy, or the meditation and exercise. It’s bringing many aspects together. It’s the breath work. The deliberate shifting of the mind to calm the nervous system. It’s the work to be put in every day to change our way of living/thinking to support wellness. Our bodies change when our nervous system is calm, and we give the chance for the body to go into rest and digest. There is time for repair. Without knowing it, we spend much of our time and our days in fight or flight through our thoughts and the way we breathe. As a result, there is no time for repair in the body in our days. The body is actively on alert and eventually our immune system becomes tired and confused from fighting imaginary tigers and bears that come in the form of bosses, bills, day to day issues, etc. Ultimately, it’s eliminating one symptom at a time. Will it eliminate every symptom? I have no way of answering that. But, I can say it will eliminate many of them. I can say with certainty, that if you apply what I talk about in my book and my classes, you will improve. I understand the skepticism. There was no one more skeptical than I on the subject of alternative healing. To be honest, unless you give it an honest effort, it may not work for you. But, if you do go forward and focus your energy in that direction, you will reap the benefits without a doubt.
