Recipe to begin a life filled with gratitude - Today, look around your home, your closet, your garden, your office, maybe even your car. Are there "things" there that you have no use for? Were they given to you but you don't really like them? Did they have sentimental value at one time but no longer do? Or have you just gotten used to having them around. Take a box and put in there anything you see in your bedroom which doesn't bring you joy. And for the next two weeks, every day, choose a room, a closet, or a drawer and put in a box anything which no longer brings you joy. When you're finished, pack up all those belongings and find them homes by giving them way. Either donate them to a shelter, or another organization, or simply to someone you know who could use them. The point is to give them away without expecting anything in return. Give and give some more, and make room for all that is trying to come your way that will give you joy. When you're finished, as you look around your home, you will only see things which give you joy. You are able to give unconditionally and are making space. Be grateful for being the vehicle that fills the need for someone else.
