Day 20-

Khechari Mudra

the meaning: khe - sky / charya - one who moves / mudra - gesture lock

fold the tongue upward and backward as far as comfortable so that the lower surface lies in contact with the upper palate

Benefits:

Stimulates pressure points in the back of the mouth and nasal cavity

Stimulates secretion of certain hormones and saliva

Reduces sensation of hunger and thirst

Induces a state of inner calm and stillness

Preserves the vitality of the body

Especially beneficial for inner healing

Designed to awaken the spiritual energies in the body

Day 19-

Bhairavi Mudra

the meaning: bhairavi - fierce / mudra - gesture lock

right palm supports the left hand, both palms facing the sky, thumbs gently touching each other

Benefits:

Fierce nature is the destroyer of egoism

Brings harmony and balance to both hemispheres of the brain

Creates mental stability and focus

Instills strength and power in the practitioner

Promotes self healing and a sense of well being

Union of the individual and the supreme consciousness

Facilitates meditation practice
