28th day-

I have managed to miss 6 more days of posting for this journey. It seems that life had other plans for us. On day 23 I was sitting in my hotel room at 10pm ready to post, when my battery died on my computer and I had forgotten my adaptor at home. Once I had my adaptor delivered the next day, i had no access to internet. So for the past six days I was unable to post. After spending many, many years talking about the importance of flowing and surrendering to life’s circumstances, I had the opportunity to practice what I preach. It was absolutely the best scenario that could have happened to me. I spent the time focusing on the precious fleeting moments with my family and newly born addition to the family. The universe had given me that gift and I wholeheartedly accepted and surrendered to it. I was able to live the Christmas spirit… Silent night, holy night… The rest of life would have to wait. I was flowing…

I was going to apologize for my absence and break in the journey, but I won’t. What I hope, is that you are inspired to see in your own life, that what may seem like unfortunate circumstances, are actually gifts wrapped in ugly wrapping paper. Our perception of our life is everything. A shift in perception can mean a complete change in life. Possibly a complete change in health.

I hope you continued to make space for yourself in my absence. Tonight continue as you’ve been sitting and as you’re breathing in mentally say “I am” and as you breathe out say”life.”

Sweet dreams…

Namaste-The life force which flows in me, is the same life force which flows in you.

22nd day-

In the state of gratitude, our whole mental as well as physical state changes. The feeling of well being that is produced in both has a tremendous healing effect. The guided meditation which we did yesterday is very powerful. We will do it once again today.

Sit comfortably, making sure your back is straight and put your hands comfortably in your lap. Hold your left palm in your right palm, both palms facing toward the sky. Let the thumbs gently touch each other. Try not to move your body during the process. Observe your breath as you are breathing in and as you are breathing out for 5 breaths.. Then as you breathe in mentally say “I am” and as you breathe out mentally say “blessed.” Create a space between your inhalation and your exhalation and again create a space between your exhalation and your inhalation. Pause between “I am” and “blessed”. Pause between “blessed” and “I am”. Be aware of the words and allow the meaning of those words to settle into every cell in your body.. Flow with the experience. Release the mantra when it naturally happens. Stay there, in your stillness. When ready to open your eyes, do so gently and softly.

In the pause, where there is gratitude, there is no fear….

Namaste-the ability to release fear in me, is the same ability to release it in you.

Sweet dreams…

31 DAY JOURNEY TO PEACE - 21ST DAY

21st DAY-

You may have noticed that our 20th day is missing. Yesterday there were no instructions. I hope you decided to continue to make space for yourself in spite of that. An event in my life took priority over everything else happening around me. I could say that it may have been the most important event of my life. So, as a result i was unable to make it to my computer. I believe that it was the ultimate test in flowing and having faith in the Universe. My grandchild was born, and I was invited to be involved in the miraculous event. My whole being is filled with a tremendous amount of gratitude and awe for the way “life” abounds around us.

Let me share a guided meditation with you in gratitude….

In the pause, the space in your heart is filled and expanded in gratitude….

Namaste-The way in which gratitude changes my life, is the same way it changes yours.

18TH DAY-

Let’s continue….

Then as you breathe in mentally say “so” and as you breathe out mentally say “hum.” Create a space between your inhalation and your exhalation and again create a space between your exhalation and your inhalation. Pause between “so” and “hum”. Pause between “hum” and “so”. Be aware of space and let the mantra flow around it. Allow yourself to get lost in the process. Flow with the experience without any expectations. Release the mantra when it naturally happens. Stay there, in your stillness. When ready to open your eyes, do so gently and softly.

In the pause, the space to “be” is created….

Namaste-The space in which I am, is the same space in which you are.

18TH DAY-

Let’s continue….

We will be following the same process which we did yesterday. Don’t try to produce the same experience. Release the need to control and allow yourself to flow with each moment. Go with it. Then as you breathe in mentally say “so” and as you breathe out mentally say “hum.” Create a space between your exhalation and your inhalation. Pause only between “hum” and “so”. Be aware of that space and let the mantra flow around it. Allow yourself to get lost in the process. Flow with the experience without any expectations. Release the mantra when it naturally happens. Stay there, in your stillness. When ready to open your eyes, do so gently and softly.

In this pause, the space to “be” is created….

Namaste-The space in which I am, is the same space in which you are.

I had someone tell me once that there were times in their lives in which they couldn’t take their eyes off an object because they were mesmerized by the beauty. He wanted to be able to fully take in the experience as long as possible; to be in that moment with the experience. He somehow thought there might be something wrong with him. Silently, as he said this I was asking myself why? Because he found so much beauty all around him that captivated him and gave him so much insight into our world?

My response to him- I told him what an amazingly fortunate being he was. That most of us went through life in anticipation of what was coming next, and lost those moments that he had found along the way so easily. That many of us were seeking that ability, but somehow it kept eluding us. Did he need to change? Never! He, his mind, his perception, his awareness, is exactly what many of us are missing and don’t realize it. He has been blessed with having been able to keep that quality that most children have, but as they grow up they lose it. The ability to be in the present moment. The ability to find that “aha” moment in the “small things” in life. The gift of gratitude. I learned a lot from him that day. In being different he thought there might be something wrong with him. What I hope he now realizes is that there is something very right. Let’s make the space to find the beauty in those moments we will never get back.

17TH DAY-

Let’s continue to make space for ourselves. We are on day 17 to creating this habit. When practicing every day for 21 days it will begin to be habitual, and after 31 days it will be on its way to becoming natural. Nurturing ourselves to a place of peace effortlessly, is where this journey is taking us. Let’s continue….

There will be a slight change from yesterday. Be aware of the change in the instructions. Go with it. Sit comfortably, making sure your back is straight and put your hands comfortably in your lap. Hold your left palm in your right palm, both palms facing toward the sky. Let the thumbs gently touch each other. Try not to move your body during the process. 16TH DAY-

To have peace in our lives we must make an effort to bring peace to our minds. It’s essential that we give our minds a break. This carries through to the body. They are not separate. One cannot be at peace if the other one isn’t. The body is always listening and experiencing what the mind tells it. That is where making space for yourself becomes primary in the process. Without it, peace can’t happen. Let’s repeat the same process we did yesterday. Please don’t try to have a specific experience. Take what the breath gives you in the process. No two times in this process will ever be the same. They will each shine in their own beauty….

Then as you breathe in mentally say “so” and as you breathe out mentally say “hum.” Create a space between your inhalation and your exhalation. Pause only between “so” and “hum”. Be aware of that space and let the mantra flow around it. Allow yourself to get lost in the process. Flow with the experience without any expectations. Release the mantra when it naturally happens. Stay there, in your stillness. When ready to open your eyes, do so gently and softly.

In this pause, space is created and stillness happens….

Namaste-That stillness that my mind creates is the same stillness your mind creates.
